Palette Cleanser revisits the uninhibited abstractions of my childhood art. Identifying characters lurking within the pools of paint remaining on my pallet from my Betwixt, Runaway / Run Away, A Lad Insane, and Fauna series, I meticulously repaint portions on panel, recontextualizing them within larger-scale compositions. To fully bring the personalities of these creatures to life, I create multi-frame GIF animations, accompanied by instrumental scores that I compose and perform.
